With 38 years of trade experience in the capacities of Manager, Business Development Manager and Brand Operations Director. 7 years with P+O Cruising the world, 18 years with Whitbread, 3 years Scottish and Newcastle. 10 years self employed and the last 6 have been as a consultant and trainer. Phil's humour is warm, welcoming and sometimes bizarre. The passion however is contagious and motivational. The stories are all true.

Most significant achievement in our industry

Introducing all day opening in 1986 some 3 years before it became law.

Greatest ambition

To meet Lord Young, the man who recommended the beer orders in 1989.

On cellars: "Do it in a 3 piece suit in the middle of a busy session!” – to people who tap casks on delivery.

Over 30 years in the hospitality business operating within hotels, lodges, pubs, restaurants and outdoor catering having worked at senior executive level for many well-known companies. He is now a self employed consultant and deliverer. Kevin’s experience and passion for the industry is quickly noted by the delegates and his friendly, relaxed but challenging style of delivery is well received.

Sharron’s individual style reflects her passion and enthusiasm for improving and enhancing peoples skills, who wish to achieve their dreams and maximise their business opportunities. She has a very supportive approach and fills the learning process with fun, enabling her to develop her delegate’s skills to the full.

Profile

Following a Business Studies and Marketing degree, Su began her career in the licensed trade and leisure industry, over 17 years ago, as a graduate with Britvic Soft Drinks. She soon moved on from this role and into Whitbread PLC. Over the years Su has had much varied experience in managing pubs and restaurants, marketing retail and beer brands and individual pubs, menu development and training. Now enjoying a varied working life, Su delivers training courses, carries out project work for various retail chains and does a bit of relief management to ‘keep her hand in’!

Greatest achievement

Climbing a severe rock face on Dartmoor in a hale storm, never having climbed before.

Greatest ambition

"To write a best selling novel – when I get the time!"

Partner in Inn-Formation and head of Administration Mary has worked in both administrative and retail sales for over 30 years. Her great breadth of experience in admin ensures that her responsibility for course reservations and sales is invaluable to the company. Mary's worth ethic is to ensure the smooth running of courses and that our clients expectations are exceeded.

To travel the world after I have had an extreme makeover.
